Podcasts
The Friend Zone- Fran, Dustin, and Assante cover an array of mental health related topics in a way that is personable and easy to digest. I get plenty of laughs mixed in with "aha" moments and dope music recommendations. Listening truly feels like sitting and chatting with friends. I'm a fairly new listener to this podcast, but so far my favorite episodes have been,
- What happens to a dream acheived featuring Louis York
- Social Compliance (watch The Push on Netflix for context)
- Wild Wild Country ( watch the accompanying documentary on Netflix by the same name)
- The other side of therapy featuring Jor-El Caraballo
Black Girl In Om- Lauren Ash and Deun Ivory do an amazing job of exploring various topics regarding holistic wellness from their frame of reference as women of color, filling an often overlooked space in the ever-rising holistic health and beauty world. Every episode is filled with quotable moments that serve as fresh reminders to cultivate self-love daily. These women clearly create from a place of clear intention and from a space of genuine care and passion.
- Intentional Living with Roe of Brown Kids (such a unique episode that introduced me to a cleaning method that doubles as a spiritual "check up.")
- Higher and Higher: A Lesson in Vibrating Higher Daily with Lalah Delia (Lalah gives powerful insight on what it means to "vibrate higher daily," to practice intentional living, and to live life in a way that reflects ourselves in our most divine form.)
She's Beauty and the Beast- Tracy G from Sway in the Morning is one insightful, real, bold, and passionate person. She delivers affirmations in an audio format which she calls "Audio Vision Boards" that can be a helpful tool for anyone needing to hit refresh on their positive self-talk. Some of her more lengthy episodes are actually my favorites because she and her guests tend to take their conversations to deep and meaningful places, while still keeping the feeling light and fun.
- No Sex Zone (amazing episode on celibacy exploring the mindset behind the choice on whether or not to abstain from sex)
- Why You Should Put This Up Your P*ssy: The Yoni Egg Hunt (incredibly informative episode about yoni eggs, their origination, their purpose, and their many uses)
- The Rob Hill Sr. Effect ( your favorite inspirational quote master from Instagram has quite the intriguing backstory)
- No Sex Zone Pt. 2! Post Celibacy Feels ( explores what it's like deciding to have sex again after a period of abstinence)
