I needed a space where I could share the many insights I was gaining when I inadvertently began a journey of self-awareness, self-discovery, self-acceptance, and ultimately self-love. My journey began when I was in a place in my life where I felt lost. I was functioning in the world, but I was not living. I was hardly even existing.
Tired of feeling like a star whose light had been dimmed, I decided to return to the things I used to love. I started singing again. I picked up yoga again. I started feeling like myself again. The real game changer was when I incorporated meditation into my weekly routine. Once I started meditating, I began uncovering aspects of myself that had been repressed for many years, and I began discovering new things about myself I had yet to acknowledge. Feelings that had been shoved down were being unearthed, patterns I had been perpetuating became clear to me, irrational thoughts that fed my anxiety were no longer fooling me. I began journaling in order to express the many thoughts and feelings I was shifting through day to day. As I would write about my experiences and my feelings toward them, I would often find myself having moments of insight. I felt the need to share the ideas and tools that have helped me, and this is where I come to do so. I simply want to help others as best I can, by sharing the life lessons I've learned through my own experiences. As you will see, I am very introspective and analytical. I have become aware of my ability to observe my own problems and see where they are coming from. I hope that as you follow me on my journey of self-discovery, you uncover your true power as well.
